Asleep winter heart

No more games - she said
Your coldness made me blind
Let me die alone in the asleep forest
- and her heart remained still like the old mill's wheel in the frozen waters

Remember: Some feelings are like the burning embers, you can't see them, but they are just hidden under the snow...

About flowers, mermaids and the faces of trees

The grey colour covers the city...

...and the flowers that used to lighten our streets start fading away...

gone with the wind, or maybe with the stream
surrounded by wooden mermaids
 carved on the old trees
coming back to life in this original way
showing us that even a dead tree kan hide many faces

Autumn sun...

Neverending sunsets...

...this is what makes the Danish autumn so magical...

...the golden sunlight makes the trees burn in red colours...

...as the falling leaves design ephemeral carpets...

...and the sky cover our dreams with the most beautiful paintings...

Aarhusian fairy tales...

When I was a little boy, I loved reading fairy tales, those amazing stories about brave knights...
... who were not afraid to fight to the death against huge dragons

In these stories knights were normally accompanied by their faithful dogs...

...that always followed them on their great mission to save beautiful princesses...

...who patiently waited to be rescued from a convent...

...or from a tower...

The story normally ended with a grateful queen...

...who let the knight marry her daughter and celebrate a big party at the palace

But I must confess that my favourite story was about a talking rabbit...

...that loved to make mad tea parties...

...with their crazy friends...
....wearing elegant hats...
...in picturesque houses like these

I always have strange dreams

Sometimes your dreams are only half-fulfilled because the people close to you don't dare to share a dream...
...or it can be that the people around you just decide to give it up when they're about to reach the goal...

...but we always should go after our dreams, even if they are so strange as the ears of Asbjørn...

...sooner or later...

Faces

I like walking alone on the streets when the evening falls. Sometimes after a rainy day, when people prefer to stay at home and watch tv, leaving the roads and squares clean and lonely, I can feel like someone is watching me. It's then when the miracle occurs...

Faces from old times, from the most dark periods of the human history, appear suddenly at any corner. They've been there all the time, smiling to us, no one knows if they want to be friendly or if they're just trying to express a silent menace...

Giant angel faces observing generations of aarhusians and foreigners passing by during hundreds of years, being witnesses of their joy and their tears too...

They appear normally indifferent to the human beings, but sometimes they can be shameless or even cruel, laughing at us

Most of them are human faces, but some of them can be monstruous and scary

You may think that you're alone, but you're never on your own... At least in the old Århus!
